I Hate New Sunday School Classes By Timothy Ayers

Kids don't like doing things that are new. It is a scary experience. New schools, new classes, new anything means a time of tension and apprehension. I Hate New Sunday School Classes is written for kids who are facing that new experience. It is not psychology. It is not theology. It is a simple story about Judachew, the singing mouse, and his family's move to a different town and a new Sunday School class. This fast paced adventure pits Judachew against his own fears and some real foes.

Indian Tales by Rudyard Kipling

This collection was first published in 1890, and is a collection of the stories in a few previous volumes -- the book that first made him famous, _Plain Tales from the Hills_, and other books of stories set in India. It isn't a *complete* collection, though, and several gems from those volumes (most notably the story _Lispeth_, which might be Kipling's single best short story) are absent.

The stories that are in here are good reading, though, and show Kipling at his ambiguous best -- at the same time the man who was considered to be Poet Laureate of the British Empire, and the man who declined it. There are a number of good stories in here, but I'd say start with Plain Tales from the Hillsbefore this, if only so you don't miss "Lispeth."

Stories included:

"The Finest Story in the World"
With the Main Guard
Wee Willie Winkie
The Rout of the White Hussars
AT Twenty-Two
The Courting of Dinah Shadd
The Story of Muhammad Din
In Flood Time
